Ext. Village East Cinemas, New York - Night This was my last glimpse of ‘VEC’ on the closing night. Truly had a lot of fun working at Tribeca Film Festival 2010.
Film Festival Work
Thus far this year, I’ve volunteered for two of the largest film festivals in the country. I’ve really enjoyed the atmosphere and the work I get to do. Going from working at a venue as a crowd liaison at Sundance to working in the Screening Operations office at Tribeca has really opened my eyes to a whole other way of working in film. I know it’s not the same as making a film, but getting to be immersed in a fluster of filmmakers and their films is insanely stimulating and inspiring. At the moment, free lance film festival work seems like it could be really rewarding, especially while I work toward perfecting one of my own scripts. Here’s hoping I can get somewhere from what I’ve learned so far.

Ext. Village East Cinemas, New York - Day
One of the main Tribeca Film Festival venues. I spent a lot of time helping out here when I wasn’t working at the Tribeca office.
Ext. North Moore Street, New York - Day
Every day I got off the subway to go to the TFF office, I delighted in this filmmaking landmark from Ghostbusters.
